10 Years of Dear Esther

Last month marked a very special occasion - we celebrated Dear Esther's tenth anniversary. As part of this special date, we offered a 48 hour period during which the game was free worldwide. The love you offered in return has been truly extraordinary. We adored reading about your stories of discovering the game, sifting through the treasure trove of old game development blogs, honoring the game's legacy in the culture and the arts, highlighting some of the incredible fan-made content that came out of the game. 

The game's writer and designer Dan Pinchbeck also gave an interview to Rock Paper Shotgun reflecting on the 10 years of Dear Esther - we hope you enjoy it!
